What happens if I hit the free limit?
Your words still arrive — raw, exactly as you said them, never blocked. Polishing resumes when your week rolls over. We think a dictation app that stops taking dictation is broken.
What counts towards the 2,000 words?
Only words we polish for you in the cloud. We count the number — never the words themselves; your transcripts don't touch our servers unless you turn on encrypted Sync.
Do I need a card for the trial?

Does it work without internet?
Yes, on the free plan too. Download the offline speech model once (about 148 MB) and dictation keeps working with Wi-Fi off — on a plane, on a train, anywhere. Your words are transcribed and tidied up right on your computer; the fuller online polish picks up again when you're connected. Private mode keeps everything on your computer even when you are online.
