Privacy
Write My Flow hears everything you dictate, so we hold ourselves to one rule: your words stay on your device unless you choose otherwise. Here is every kind of data the product touches, and exactly where it goes.
Your voice (microphone audio)
Streamed in real time to our speech service for transcription, or processed entirely on your device in Private mode / offline. Never written to disk, never stored on any server.
Idle audio (warm microphone)
Lives only in a one-second buffer in your computer's memory so your first words aren't clipped. Continuously overwritten; never leaves your machine. You can turn this off in Settings.
Your transcripts (what you said)
Stored on your device, in your local history. You control retention — including a "store nothing" mode. If you turn on Sync (Pro), a copy travels between your computers — encrypted on your device before it leaves, so we cannot read it. Sync is off by default, and you can turn it off or delete the synced copy at any time.
AI cleanup
The transcribed text is sent to our formatting service to remove filler and fix punctuation, then immediately discarded. Off entirely in Private mode.
Usage metering
We count words per week (a number, never the words themselves) to operate the free plan's limit.
Account
Your email address, your plan, and payment status — stored in the UK (London). Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see card numbers.
We never sell, mine, or share your data, and there is no advertising. Delete your history any time in the app; delete your account by emailing support@writemyflow.com. Questions welcome at the same address.
